Dr. Katherine Dority

Dr. Kat completed her undergraduate studies at Boston University before earning her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and certificate in Pediatric Dentistry from the University at Buffalo. Her interest in dentistry itself began in childhood, when she’d “play dentist” with her neighborhood friends. This interest remained with her through college, where everything came together during her college internship at a pediatric dental office.

Being able to turn a potentially anxious experience into something fun and empowering is what makes her passionate about this field. She finds it truly special to partner with a child and work toward a shared goal. To her, pediatric dentistry feels like a team sport, and she takes great joy in being part of it. She enjoys working with children and families to improve oral health while fostering a friendly, relaxed environment that puts kids at ease. Seeing families leave feeling happy and comfortable is, for her, the ultimate reward.

Outside of work, Dr. Kat loves spending time with her family and friends, most of whom are based in Upstate New York, a big reason she’s so excited to be back. The lake and the outdoors bring her endless joy, whether she’s snow skiing, water skiing, or wake surfing. She also hopes to return to horseback riding and has set her sights on learning how to fly airplanes in the future.
